Art of Video’s Blog

This past Sunday September 7, 2008 in Downtown T.O., Desi News held it’s Community Achievers Awards Gala and along with Neil of New Culture DJ Services we assisted in operating the visual component for the night. That is, we were hired on to present a series of images and videos on the projectors that correlated to what was being said and presented on the stage that night. Well everything went smooth as planned and we were thanked by many that were responsible for putting such a wonderful night together. This was truly a remarkable night as great people in the community had a chance to shine in the spotlight! Thanks to Neil of New Culture DJ Services for providing us this opportunity.

Do anyone of you know that Art of Video had the opportunity to tape the backstage happenings at the recent Unforgettable Tour put together by Ethnic Guru. This was the opportunity of a lifetime to meet the one and only Amitabh Bachchan. It was truly an awe experience being able to shake the hands of the Big B. I was not only in awe but also nervous as I grew up watching all of his movies. We started taping from their arrival at the airport 2 days before the show, then at the press conference and “meet and greet” the next day. Although we weren’t allowed to tape at the show (distribution rights and all), it still was something I will never forget. Unfortunately I can’t give the footage to anyone but if you want, give me a call and come to my studios, bring some Tim’s please, and we can watch it together.
